What you see here is a huge pile of both card stock and designer paper scraps. There are SU, K&Co, Basic Grey and more DP and the cardstock is mostly SU with some renegades thrown in! There are some metallics as well. If anyone is interested and willing to pay the shipping, give me a holler and I'll get them right out to you. I imagine they would fit in a Priority Mail flat rate box. Do I have any takers???

I love Wendy Vecchi!
Today I got my first Wendy Vecchi stamps in the mail. Could wait to get my fingers inky and "make art" as Wendy says. This was just a chipboard tag from a mini album in the dollar aisle at Mike's. I used Wendy's stamps, colored with distress inks and the flower is of my own making using a prima base and a sizzix die for the top layer. Then I used a bronze giant brad. Love these little quickie art pieces! If you want to look at her art, here is Wendy's blog:

Amazing Technique
http://angelicascrappenings.blogspot.com/. The girl whose blog it is does some absolutely gorgeous work. You've all seen the packages of pearl and gem "bling" as seen in the above picture on the left. Mostly they run $2.99 and up. They are very pricey and if you like to use them a lot could get prohibitively expensive. The pearl swirls below on the pink cardstock I made myself!!!! Yes, I know, amazing! If you go to Angelica Scrappenings blog and scroll all the way to the end, she will show you how it's done. Basically, you take the manufactured bling, lay a transparency over it and apply your dots of Liquid Pearls or Stickles, gems or whatever. Liquid Pearls works great and is what I used in my samples above. Then you trim the transparency as close as you can and apply with glue dots. It's amazing! In my sample, what I did was lay the purchased swirls on the copier and make copies, then I laid that under the transparancy, taped it for stability and used my Liquid Pearls. Try this and be sure to check out Angelica Scrappenings.

An Easter Basket....
This cute little basket of posies and eggs is from the same stamp set, Signs of Spring, by Flourishes that my large daffodil came from. The sentiment is from SU So Many Sayings. I used the Nestabilities Labels Nine for the frames and colored the image with Copics. A little Stickles were added on the eggs for some glitz. Nice weekend we are having here in Maryland!

I'm ready...........
I just worked on this card this evening. It's a l arge 5.5 x8 card in creme. The background paper is unknown. The scalloped layer behind the image is SU Crushed Curry as is the ribbon. The image is from Signs of Spring by Flourishes and I colored it with Copics. I used a Nestabilities Fleur de Lis pendant, cut in half, on the top and bottom. I love daffodils. They are my favorite spring flower. Enjoy! Here's a link to Flourishes to see their lovely stamps: http://www.flourishes.org/blog/

Card Catch All
Here's what I spent the day doing. This is a template from the very talented Lauren Meader at My Time Made Easy. The box has two sections in it via a divider which you can 't see in the picture. And for the cards I added a designer paper layer as well as the cardstock layer. The paper and stamps are Stampin' Up!. I used Nestabilities and a few MS punches for the flowers and butterfly. Plain white grosgrain ribbon finished it off. Here's the big surprise: I CUT IT ALL ON THE CRICUT!!! There are six cards, 3 of each. This would make a wonderful Mother's Day or Easter gift. By just changing the paper and sentiments you could make it for any occasion. Enjoy!
Spring is Coming......the sooner the better!
I understand from my trusty local weatherman that the weekend is supposed to bring temps of upper 40s and low 50s. I am so ready for better weather. I took down all the snowmen today and brought out this handsome fellow. The eggs are paper mache, painted, stained and distressed.
I'm working on a special box today. Hope to have it ready for you in a day or so.

Mojo Returns.....
Like everyone else on the papercrafting planet, I am in love with Ranger products and with their various spokespeople like Tim Holtz and Wendi Vecchi. I learned this background technique today on the Ranger website where they have tons of videos you can view for free and learn new ideas and techniques. It uses Perfect Pearls and Perfect Medium. I then used Prima Flowers, Tim Holtz stamps and grungepaper. It's very delicate in appearance and I hope you like it. My mojo is back..........halleluiah!!!

Introducing Renaissance Man
Here's what I've been doing in the last week. Been wanting to tackle this doll for a long time. The pattern is called The Ancestor by Anne Hesse. What? You didn't know I made dolls??? Absolutely. Used to do lots of crafts shows and made little country type dolls but I love doing the artsy dolls as well. He's made mostly of suedecloth, upholstery rems and quilting cottons. The face is clay and of course you embellish the life out of him. Mine is "quiet" compared to some I've seen. I'm trying to decide on a name for him. Any suggestions? Enjoy!

Rose Tag
This tag was a little project I did today. The background I learned on Wedy Vecchi's blog, Studio 409. It uses pigment inks and Perfect Pearls and the rose is, of course, a Tim Holtz rose. Leaves are a Sizzix die colored and distressed with Distress Inks. The stamps are all Tim Holtz as is the Secret key. I used Anna Griffin pigment ink for the swirl design at the bottom with Clear EP.
More snow in our forecast starting today. Stay warm and dry wherever you are!

Think Spring!
Last fall when I purchased this large stamp from Impression Obsession (one of my favorite companies) I knew there would come a winter day when I would need to use it. The day has come. There's more snow predicted here for Tuesday and we already have over 5 feet on the ground. My camera has been acting up and I don't feel these pictures are sharp enough or something but you have to go with what you've got so there's an overall view and there's a close up of the colored image. The papers were all Stampin' Up! except for the card itself. It was from a package of texured blank cards I purchased. Ribbon is SU. Butterfly punch is MS. Flowers are Sizzix and Prima and I used Distressed Stickles on the flowers with a large metallic brad. I colored the image with Copics and the sentiment is from SU Wings of Friendship and done with Nestabilites Frames Four. The edges of EVERYTHING were distressed with Vintage Photo and Mustard Seed by Tim Holtz. Hope it makes you feel like spring!

Come Sit With Me.....
ENOUGH!!!!
The snow god has smiled on us again and we are in the middle of blizzard conditions here in northeastern Maryland. Been snowing since 4 yesterday afternoon and is not supposed to stop until this evening when we should have an ADDITIONAL 20 inches on the ground.

Lookie!
Here you go. The first two were taken from my front door. That's a huge drift in the front yard and my moron neighbor's truck parked in front of my house. The county emergency center asked everyone to take their vehicles off the street. He moved his from in front of his house to in front of my house and he's not even supposed to have a commercial vehicle on the street. I went out last night and asked him to move it and of course he ignored me. We have a thing going, can you tell? The other two pics are of the area I shoveled off the deck for the dog and the back yard. You can hardly see my garden bench. And there's not much drifting back here. What a mess!
Let It Snow, Let It Snow, PLEASE Let It STOP!!!
I am smack dab in the middle of the worst storm the Mid Atlantic region has seen in many a year. I love how they compare it to 1902, 1958, 1966 and 1992. Who cares, there's two feet on the ground now and it's not supposed to stop until sometime during the night tonight!!! Nothing is moving. Best part is it's so quiet.....shhh. Not even the sound of a plow yet.....BUT the doggies had to get out. I made the Boston Terrier make do with doing his thing on the brick patio. He wasn't happy but he did a good job. I also have my daughter's pug here, it her birthday today, but she is paper trained, thank heaven. Kathy, my daughter, works in a hospital in Delaware and went there last night to spend the night because she's working all weekend in Pediatric Cardiology. She's caring for a 3 month old with an open chest, waiting for a heart transplant. So I dug this little tunnel out off the deck. Other than that we are all socked in tight. Pictures to follow!!
