More Mixed Media
Be sure to enlarge the pictures to see the detail. The first piece is an 8.5 x 11 canvas featuring a vintage reproduction of a piece of music. I used Prima Sprays on this one. The next two feature a picture of my brother and I when we were kids. I used darker colors on this one, browns and greys, and lots of Prima mists. I made all the flowers on this piece which I love to do. These were fun pieces to do and more are coming!

At The Well
The above is a picture of my grandmother at the well in her hometown of Mt. Savage, Maryland. I scrapbooked this photo with handmade flowers and a doily cut on the Cricut. I can't imagine how things must have been for women in those days. They worked so hard but I think they were happier then than now when we have all the conveniences possible. Enjoy!

Tea for Two
Are you maybe thinking that I purchased the new Tim Holtz tea cup die? Sure looks like the TH one!
Instead this cut was done on my Cricut. I have a subscription but had to pay $1.49 for this image. Better than $20 for the TH one. The only adjustment I had to make to it was to cut a slit at the rim of the bottom cup so the upper one could sit inside. Otherwise they look uncannily alike. A money saving tip for those of us with a Cricut.

75,000!!!!!!!
Well I reached a milestone of 75,000 visits to my blog. Thanks everyone who took the time to visit and especially those who commented. I know it's not a big deal but it is to me. I am in awe of those that have say 100,000 or more. Wow!
I have a lot of stamp stuff I am purging and I wondered how all of you out there would feel about a giveaway of lovingly used stuff? Let me know and if there's enough interest we'll do it. For instance, I have a Scoreboard, tons of stamps, some tools, etc. Give me a heads up if you're interested.

Almost Easter...........
I have a card for you today. The black silhouette was cut on my Cricut Explore and the detail is phenomenal for only being about 2.375". The sentiment is a Our Daily Bread one. The grass is a Martha Stewart punch. It's not exactly Easter but sort of. Hope you like it.

A Taste of Spring
On this bright sunny and cold day I decided my psyche needed something that shouted "spring." So I scoured around on Pinterest and decided to CASE this card from alekartka.blogspot.com. I admired her card and decided to do one of my own. Below is the result. I did one with all white including the leaves and one with green leaves and used a Thank You sentiment. Some of the flowers including the large one I made. I love making flowers! The cardstock was SU Whisper White and I don't know the source for the DP. Hope you like it and that you"ll try your own breath of spring.

Tag Quickie
Here's a sweet little tag I made between bigger projects. The image was from Pinterest. The tag was made with Wendy Vecchi's new Tea Rose ink and splattered plaster technique. The flower is one I made and I thought it turned out great with the little pearls on the green tips. Seam binding and a paper doily with all edged in Vintage Photo made this a fun little "quickie."

Mixed Media in Winter
Here's a mixed media piece I worked on this week. I've had this picture of a lamb I took in Lancaster PA. for years. Finally I decided on the right project for it. I used texture paste and sprays on this piece as well as handmade flowers. Enjoy and stay warm!

I have been working on a great project I wanted to share with you. Since I'm not the greatest picture taker, I'll just give you a few shots to whet your appetite. The pattern is from a lovely girl on You Tube under the name of Paper Hoarder Disorder. Her name is Christy. She has the most wonderful set of patterns for sale in her Etsy store and she also has a blog. This box opens to one side and has a waterfall like group of pages attached to one end. Each page has a booklet inside for pictures or photos. All the pages and booklets are 4 x 6 so you can get some nice size pictures inside or journaling. Here goes:
Be sure to check out Christy's site as there are many more temping patterns. The best part is the boxes are made from heavy chipboard which feels like box and will hold up forever.
Have a great weekend and get that shopping done!

Post Thanksgiving
Did you think I fell down a hole never to return? Not Alice in Wonderland, just me. Husband had surgery on his knee and have been so busy with that I am exhausted. However, today I did have time to use one of the Sweet Innocence stamps to make a quick card. She is colored with Copics and the snow is tiny dots of Liquid Pearls. Getting in the Christmas spirit? I'm not quite there yet but it will hit me any day! Enjoy your weekend and stay warm!

Hi everyone! I imagine just about everyone in the country is colder today than a week ago. Brrrr! I have a few items for sale. I have five Copic markers, brand new, that I already had (dummy!). They are E97, E80, E37, YG00, and E0000. They are $20 which is half of retail. I also have a Pumpkin Stazon Pad for $4 and a Spellbinders border die from the Gilded Life series called the Long Die. I used one just like it in the crown posted below. It's $9. If anyone is interested send me an email at primitiveseasons@comcast.net. If you take it all I'll do a little better on the total price for you. Shipping is the buyers responsibility but it all fits in a small padded mailing envelops so it shouldn't be much.

Have a project and a new product to share with you today. I had been wanting to try one of the card-in-a-box cards for some time. This CHRISTmas one is a tiny one. Each side only measures 1 and 3/8 by 2" approximately. The whole thing is triple matted which makes it very sturdy. There's another one of these in my future as they were a lot of fun. Be sure to click on the image to see it larger.
The second thing I wanted to show you is a new Sizzix die called The French Bow. This goes together very quickly and is very classy looking. I used black and a black and white toile paper. And it's BIG. About 6" long and 2 wide.. Great for packages too.

Hope you get out to vote today. It's your right and priviledge. Let's put an end to the apathy which has taken hold in our country.

Daylight Savings
Well how was your Halloween? It was so cold here and threatening rain that there weren't so many trick or treaters as other years. And, of course, tonight is that night we have to fool with the clocks. Fall back, remember? We gain a whole hour of sleep.....good as gold if you ask me. With time on my mind, I made this tag with mostly Tim Holtz design elements. I edged everything with Frayed Burlap. I used Wendy Vecchi's embossing paste and a combination of Dylusions and Adirondack color washes to color the tag. I love spraying that seam binding......gives such a nice vintage-y look. Bundle up and don't forget the tick tock!
