Anniversary Bells

I have a wonderful project to share with you today, one of the biggest I've ever done.  It's a 50th wedding anniversary mini album (a CHUNKY mini album) that I made for very dear friends.  The video is long but I think you'll enjoy it so here goes....

I hope you enjoyed seeing all the techniques and ideas in this album.  Be sure to click on the corner icon in the video to see it full screen....really makes a big difference.

Please remember our veterans this weekend.  They gave so much to make our country great and some gave all they had.  We must never forget their sacrifice.

Spring or Summer???

I don't think we had much of a spring do you?  We had late freezes and torrential rain storms, really chilly temperatures and now it's moving on to the end of may and the temps have been 87 some days.....I mean really....what gives?  Anyway I thought you might enjoy a few photos of my yard and deck  at a particularly pretty time of the year.

Top to bottom:  this is the view I see out my window as I work.  I love azaleas.  I just wish they bloomed longer.  Next is the brick patio ( I laid every brick myself!  Ouch!) with St. Francis and my Korean lilac.  It smells heavenly, more fragrant than a full size lilac. After that is the pond area.  You may notice the waterfall rock is still not done.  My son decided last year to redesign it and he's still not finished! Finally there is the deck with my swing and rockers and a steal of a table and chairs I found on Craigslist last year.

And best of all, my faithful companion Sampson, out ten year old Boston Terrier.  He's on a table next to my desk and he lays in his bed and watches the squirrels, birds and chipmunks out the window.  I love him to death.

Well enjoy the upcoming weekend.  I'm going to play with my Explore some more.  It rhymes!!!

Happy Mother's day to all you Moms out there, those that are with us and those that have gone before us.  What would we do without Mothers?  I jokingly said this morning that maybe Mother's Day should be for those who are not mothers.....maybe they're the smart ones!  But I wouldn't trade my three kids for anything.

And I got a wonderful gift from my oldest daughter that was a complete TOTAL surprise.  I just couldn't believe it!  A new Cricut Explore.  I played around with it some and I love it.  It is so far superior to the older Cricut models  I had an Expression and really like it but this blows me away. The picture is below with a few of the projects I made right off the bat.  It cuts beautifully.  It's going to bring me many hours of fun and pleasure and thanks to my sweet oldest daughter Kathy!

Well all you Moms have a great day and a wonderful dinner (one that hopefully you didn't have to cook)!

Spray Your Heart Out

Hi....back with another video today to share some information with you regarding the various sprays and mists on the market today.  If you're like me and very confused about what they all do, maybe this will help. I forgot to say in the video that none of these companies, including Prima, have paid me or supplied me with product to do this video.  Just little me and my opinion!  I'd appreciate feedback if you have the time on what you use and have found helpful with these items.

Also, a reader contacted me about her comments being returned to her and she couldn't understand why.  If you have had an issue with this, could you email me and let me know while I hopefully get this straightened out.
