My Space

A few people in the past have asked for pictures of my "room". I guess everyone likes to see how other's work. So here we go, top to bottom. The first two show my Horn sewing cabinets. My Bernina is in the down position right now and my Cricut is on top, along with my Sammy, our Boston Terrier in his bed in the sun. This is where he loves to be when I'm at the desk working. I face the yard and love to watch the changes in the seasons. Right now there's 6 inches of snow on the ground. Moving down are a few shots of my desk which is a farm style table. This is where my computer is, with the printer on a stand in the corner, my ink pad spin around which hubs bought me, an old sewing cabinet drawer with all my adhesives in it, and a Pampered Chef tool spinner with all my tools and scissors in it. Behind all that is my white Making Memories shelf with all my glitter, alcohol inks, embossing powders, Stickles, and Tim Holtz stuff. I have three bookshelves in this room but could only put two together. The two hold my paper, stamp sets, markers and pencils, buttons, Cricut cartridges, Sizzix dies, and some various other supplies. Moving around the room, you can see several Sterlite roll around units I have with embroidery threads, stamps, embellishments, etc. Getting to the bottom finally is my cutting table where I cut fabric, my paper cutter is there and my Sizzix machine. Behind it is the printers tray I talked about in the post below. On the left side below the table is my printed paper and on the right side are loose stamps. Both containers are almost maxed out! Finally is my third bookshelf which is full of quilting fabric and then the SU Create decorative elements vinyl I put on the wall above the entry into the living room. This used to be our formal dining room which we never used and I took it over about 2 years ago and it's been in a constant state of change since. I keep eyeing the living room because we have a big family room but I'm trying to restrain myself! If you have pictures of your room, please send me a link to them. I'd love to peek!

Studio Decor

Wanted to show you this old printer's tray I decorated to use in my studio. I feel pretentious using that word "studio" but it's no longer just a sewing room and it's not just a scrapbooking room. Anyway, I've had this printer's tray for ages and finally did something with it. Everything is glued in permanently and I guess it reflects a lot of my hobbies: sewing, pysanky, papercrafting, art, stamping etc. Hope you enjoy it!

Tim Holtz tags

This camera has really got to go. My pictures are terrible. Anyway, I was cleaning my space here today and came across these two really heavy chipboard tags. I only had two and thought well rather than putting them back in a drawer I'll stop and do something with them. Using all Tim Holtz images and inks, paints, etc I made these up, one for me and one for my daughter. The flowers are prima. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Better Pictures: See post below....

Spellbinders Loot

New release Spellbinders for SALE!!! Pardon the quality of this picture. I think it's time for a new camera. What you see here I won in a contest. However, I will never use these as there are no grandchildren or babies being born in my family any more. So I would like to offer them for sale. The combined retail price would be $91.95 and I would be willing to sell them for $60 or best offer. If you are interested, please let me know. Otherwise, they will probably go on ebay. I just thought I'd offer it to my readers first.

Thinking Ahead.........

Thinking ahead a little to Easter and playing around with the SU Chocolate Bunny stamp and some really cute little egg dollar stamps. I don't think you can see it but the detail on these is really good. I added a few stickles, liquid pearls, Rock Candy stickles etc and a ribbon. The sentiment is from Beans and Bunnies and Peeps Oh My!.

A case and a copy......

I was on SCS the other day and saw this beautiful card (the brown one) made by Cards by America. I cased it and then enjoyed doing it so much that I made a red one for Valentine's Day. Would you believe 13 layers including the bird and hearts!!! So much fun. Always is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! sets.

Tea Pot Mini

Got this darling little tea pot chipboard book from Michael's dollar bin. I made separate templates for the pot, the handle, the spout, the lid and the base and covered them with SU papers. I used PTI Tea Time stamps and another older set I had called Smell The Coffee as well as the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year. I hope you enjoy it and you really should try one for yourself. Michael's has had some wonderful shape books in that $1 bin but this is one of the cutest. Enjoy your weekend!

Who wants a beau anyway?

Does this little mophead tug at your heartstrings as she does mine? Ever since I downloaded this image (don't ask me from where) she's been begging to bare her pitiful feelings to the world. What darling boy broke her heart at such a tender age! He's a cad that's for sure. The color of the heart dictated the color of the cardstock and ribbon which is Dusty Durango. I know, I know...orange...but it's the exact color of the heart. Poor little tike shouldn't have to suffer on Valentine's day!

Inspired by Miss Badness Herself!

This is a card inspired by one I saw on Sherry Cheever's blog. She is soooo talented and I chose to case this card and technique. Picking a good image is key. Mine was a little too light on the left side so the layers don't show as well and I just printed it on copy paper and cardstock would be better. If you click on the image to make it larger, you can see the layers up close and personal. They appear not to lign up properly because I took the picture from the side to avoid glare. They do line up perfectly looking head on, I assure you. I love the image though. Have to keep practicing. It uses Spellbinders dies and SU cardstock, designer paper and ribbon with MS pearls.

Bird Book

I have been working on another mini book. This one is the On Board Bird Book available from Stampin" Up! in our current Occasions Mini Catalog. It's a big one, 8.25 z 3.375! I used so many embellishments and techniques that it would be hard to quote each one so if you have questions, just email me. There are eight bird chipboard shapes on a heavy chain, so that's sixteen sides for you to splurge all your creativity on. It took me a few days and to show them to you I took the chain off so I could display them one side at a time. Cute huh?
