I'm Melting........................

I promised you a video last week on some tips to make the card I posted on my blog with the vase of flowers.  (see below).  I hope you enjoy the video and try your hand at this fun craft.  Any questions, just email me.
I neglected to mention in the blog that the idea for using paper flowers with the Utee molded urn was the idea of a gal on a website called Going-Buggy.  I didn't want you to think this was my original idea.  Go check out her blog.  Her pot of flowers is entirely different yet using the same mold I used.

Have a great day everybody!

Below is a picture of the blog candy I am offering to celebrate a couple things.  I will soon be posting my 1,000th blog post and tax season will also be ending (jump up and down and say YAY!!0.  Hubby will be through his seasonal tax work and be home more.  So on April 15th I will draw a winner for all the goodies below.  There are some halloween, some christmas, some chipboard, small frames, a metal box full of vintage game pieces, bling, and a stamp which I forgot in the picture.  To top it off I'm including  handmade by me Tilda doll.  Isn't she cute?

How do you you win?  You just need to leave a comment sometime before 4/15 and you MUST be a follower.  In your email, let me know you have done both.  If you are already a follower make sure you tell me that as well. And of course, be sure there is a way I can email you included in your post.  That's it!

Good luck to everyone!

Blog Candy! Attention Attention! Drum Roll Please....

.......COMING SOON!  STAY TUNED!

SNOW! Can you believe it?

We had flurries here in Maryland this morning and they are saying more is coming.  Really? Really?  All I can say is Bah Humbug ( I know, mixing the seasons)!

I'm here to share a card with you today from a NEW favorite set of stamps.  Our Daily Bread's featured stamp set for January was Joy In A Jar.  Wonderful stamps, dies to match...just great.  The card I made, below, is on SU black cardstock and the background paper I think is either Recollections or K&Co.  I added a little pocket at the bottom to add a small tag.  The Joy in a Jar stamped bottle was colored with grey Copic markers and I used actual cork (from Michaels in the paper aisle) for the stopper.  The tag says Made in Heaven and is triple layered using Spellbinders. I put a small doily up on dimensionals with a little silver stickles to mount the bottle on.  A bow made on the super wonderful Bow It All and a few silk flowers complete the card. Some of the other bottle labels in this set say "Scent of Forgiveness, Extract of Mercy, Blessings in a Jar and there are 7 small sentiments to use as well.  I know I'll be using this set for a lot of cards I send to friends.  Seems everyone these days could use a card from this set.  Enjoy!

Happy Spring!

Well according to the calendar, spring is here.  The weatherman says possible snow on Tuesday....so who do you believe?  I'm ready for a new season, how about you?

Wanted to share a card with you today that looks "springy" and hopefully inspires you to get out those supplies you have been hoarding and make something beautiful.  Some tips on making this card will be the subject of my next video, probably this coming week.  Be sure to check back and maybe learn something new and fun!

Come On Spring!!!!!!

Yesterday here in Maryland it was 60 degrees and bright sunshine!  Today the temperature is dropping and by tomorrow morning it's supposed to be in the twenties!  And we are to get....dare I say it....snow.....I mean come on people.  I want to get outside and get my hands dirty and I want to get warm and I'm tired of salt and sand being trecked into the house.....ENOUGH!!! So we will just pretend it's not happening and instead occupy ourselves with all things fun and pleasant.  Here's a card I made with the image I colored in the video below.  It's SU cardstock and the image is stamped and colored with Copics on watercolor paper.  I used an MS punch on the edge punching it twice and offsetting just slightly and a little polka dot yellow ribbon and bow on the other side.  The butterfly is a Cheery Lynn die.  Hope where you are the weather is better and you're looking forward to spring as much as I am.  Have a great Sunday!

Take Two....

OK I'm back again and I think I finally have this figured out.  I got the camera thing down and then Blogger did NOT want to upload my video in the normal fashion.  I got advice from a cyber friend who suggested I upload it to You Tube and imbed it on my blog from there.  Guess what....it worked!  Do a happy dance and shout Halleluiah!  So without further delay, here we go.....PS:  click the icon in the lower right corner to see it full screen!

Oops!

Just wanted to let everyone know who might have seen the video I posted yesterday.....and then deleted....that I haven't lost it!  I just felt the focus wasn't good and I wanted to work on it some more. I'm in a "technology" whirl here....just got a new printer, then the camera, then my daughter bought me a Kindle Fire...all of which I need to master.  So I hope to get this camera thing down better and as Arnold says "I'll be back......"
