My Garden

Since we were discussing flowers I thought I'd show you a few shots of the garden this year. The red climbing rose is called High Society and it's mixed with two different clematis, a Nellie Moser which is blooming now and a sweet autumn clematis which blooms in September. The yellow rose is a floribunda called Easy Going and it is. No problems with this rose. I did a couple planters in matching blue spatterware with red and white flowers. Very patriotic. The pots on the deck were mostly old enamelware from my mother in law's house when we cleaned it out. We have a lilly blooming in the pond and you can see the koi underneath. The coreopsis is going great guns. This was new for me this year and I love it. The clematis climbing up in the center bird feeder is called Countess DeLyon and blooms the best part of the summer. Beneath it are some of my perennial geraniums and there is a sweet potato vine growing out of our old mail box. Finally there is my galvanized tub of herbs and marigolds. This year I have rosemary, chives, lemon blam, pineapple sage, basil and parsley. It smells so good sitting on the deck and when you walk past. I hope you enjoy my little tour!
