This is a special project I've been working on today. The bird, frames and flowers were cut on my Cricut. Be sure to click on the picture to see it close up. The background paper is Wisteria and the frame is Close to Cocoa and Mellow Moss. I used Patina Stickles around the frame and lightly colored the flowers with a copic marker. MS pearls form the centers. This was fun and the bird is so realistic, even though the very tiny layers drove me batty. There are 12 layers on the wing alone! I think one done as a cardinal with pines in the background would be super don't you?

This is beautiful. I love the layers on the bird! It reminds me of fabric applique. Or even the paint-by-numbers we used to do!
