The Newest Member of the Family

I would like you to meet Grace, the newest member of our family. I have wanted an old vintage dress form for as long as I can remember. I was finally successful in securing one and she's a beauty. The petticoat she is wearing, which hides her metal cage, belonged to my husband's grandmother and the pocket watch was my great grandfather's. She arrived just in time for Christmas. I don't know what her permanent spot will be yet but right now I am enjoying her here next to my desk. Sigh!

Grace is perfect--I just love her!! Wish I could find something as lovely as this, except at the rate I'm going, something in this house (or maybe someone) would have to leave in order to make room for her =) Also, I'm the one who recently left a comment for you about the Martha Stewart snowflake border punch and being excited to find the instructions on your blog. Just want to thank you again and let you know that I had tried it out and it worked perfectly!!

Oh, a metal caged dress form....That is my dream! And how fabulous that you can display grandmas petty coat! Thank you so much for attending the dress form ball!

Isn't it just the best owning a vintage dress form? I've only had mine for a few months and am in love with her. Hedy would be her name...she's at the ball now...hope she gets to meet your new Grace. She's looks devine, by the way!
Have fun dressing and undressing your newest family member.
