Spring or Summer???

I don't think we had much of a spring do you?  We had late freezes and torrential rain storms, really chilly temperatures and now it's moving on to the end of may and the temps have been 87 some days.....I mean really....what gives?  Anyway I thought you might enjoy a few photos of my yard and deck  at a particularly pretty time of the year.

Top to bottom:  this is the view I see out my window as I work.  I love azaleas.  I just wish they bloomed longer.  Next is the brick patio ( I laid every brick myself!  Ouch!) with St. Francis and my Korean lilac.  It smells heavenly, more fragrant than a full size lilac. After that is the pond area.  You may notice the waterfall rock is still not done.  My son decided last year to redesign it and he's still not finished! Finally there is the deck with my swing and rockers and a steal of a table and chairs I found on Craigslist last year.

And best of all, my faithful companion Sampson, out ten year old Boston Terrier.  He's on a table next to my desk and he lays in his bed and watches the squirrels, birds and chipmunks out the window.  I love him to death.

Well enjoy the upcoming weekend.  I'm going to play with my Explore some more.  It rhymes!!!

I love your "yard" photo's, such a beautiful sight to see. And Samson, such a charming fellow with such a great perch to relax and "keep an eye" on things. I love seeing others landscapes, gives me ideas to use in my own yard. Thanks for sharing!

I'm going to try leaving a comment again. Your yard and gardens are beautiful...you can tell it was hard work but I'm sure you smile every time you look out your window. I'm with Diane, I'd love to come and have a glass of iced tea with you!
