Well here you have it....the ugly truth. And may we all now observe a moment of silence for eight beautiful 20' hemlocks that went to their death. I have been a gardner all my life and to take a tree down just kills me. But when they are badly infested and dying there comes a time when we must part and today was it. I'm not actually as upset as I thought I'd be. When the fence goesin, I think I will actually like it. The plus is I gained about 15 more feet of backyard!!!

I hate to cut down any growth but my yard needs some serious pruning. Your new scape looks fabulous!! Great job! Did you do it yourself? It is soooo much work but the results are so worth the efforts.
